Chicago-born actor Kevin J. O’Connor is known for portraying character roles in major studio films such as Widows, There Will be Blood, The Mummy, Lord of Illusions, F/X 2, The Master and Van Helsing. O’Connor trained for the stage at the DePaul/Goodman School of Drama before making his big screen debut as the high school rebel Michael Fitzsimmons in Francis Ford Coppola’s Peggy Sue Got Married. His diversity continued with subsequent roles as the newspaper reporter Taggerty Hayes in the HBO miniseries Tanner ’88, the young Ernest Hemingway in The Moderns, a shy bartender in Steel Magnolias, and a showy star turn as the occult obsessed magician Philip Swann in Clive Barker’s horror thriller Lord of Illusions. O’Connor’s abilities have been sought out by a bevy of renowned directors – Coppola, Robert Altman, Steven Spielberg, Stephen Sommers, Bill Condon, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Steve McQueen, among them.
